Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Specialist for a 6 week contract.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working as a team and providing health and safety expertise to site personnel.
- You will receive functional guidance from the Safety Team Leader
- Have a clear understanding of relevant safety legislation and provide practical workplace applications
- Be able to prepare or review suitable and sufficient risk assessments
- Carryout initial investigations following incidents, including securing the scene, witness statements and the development of safety alerts
- Conduct in the field audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with site procedures
- Investigate Near Miss reports and ensure immediate corrective actions have been taken.
- Provide in the field coaching on HSE general behaviours such as PPE compliance
- Other Health and Safety duties as assigned.
Critical Skills;
NEBOSH certificate or equivalent HSE training qualification
Industry Knowledge;
Previously worked on a large petrochemical facilities or similar heavy industry sites, preferably during shutdowns or as part of a large project.
