OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Technical Training Lead for our client based in Immingham. This is a permanent, field-based/Immingham based role, and you would be expected to cover all the UK. A company car will be provided. The hours of work will be 37.5 hours / Monday – Friday; 9:00 – 5:30pm, with flexibility to work from home.
Job Purpose:
You will be expected to work closely with all customers in our value chain to a high professional level, performing various types of technical training, and support (System build /compliance /SMS) and reporting back to the customer and advising on systems and products and their use. Having trade experience, you will also be expected to lead and perform practical demonstrations of products and deliver high quality CPD’s or product training to professionals in the drywall industry train others in their correct use. This knowledge of materials, systems and installation processes will need to be applied to supporting the Research and Development team. This is a field-based role, and you would be expected to cover all the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
- You are required to follow Health and Safety procedures to ensure the Safety of yourself and others
- Promote products and systems, and the Technical Academy’s in a professional and articulate manner, through social media, customer interactions, presentations etc Site compliance inspections and reporting
- Support, internal stakeholders (R&D, Technical project teams, Marketing, Manufacturing etc.) by using trade based knowledge. In addition, provide support for trade events, Airless demonstrations and training sessions. Completing site compliance reports if visiting sites
- Inspire, customers through high-quality teaching and learning and facilitate honest, productive conversations about how to support customers in a professional manner
- Impactfully, deliver CPD’s / Training / demonstrations / Toolbox Talks to various stakeholders, (ie Cat A customers, construction colleges, Architects, main contractors etc) Uk and Ireland, and be able to access competence of learner
- Create and control new CPD’s and training courses to address skills gap and industry understanding, including flexible agendas and workshops.
- Be Responsible for creating training diary’s, managing booking CPD’s / training, toolbox talks for a region (North/South) in line with KPI expectations. Staying current with the standards (BS 8000 -8) and building regs applicable .Reporting on Training KPI’s for relevant area
- Support the case management process through investigation, feedback to relevant stakeholders and by supporting the claims team (including insurance provider stakeholders)
- Support product testing at independent laboratories and provide necessary feedback to the relevant departments to ensure success.
- Regular use of and including storage of Site reports on CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) and project data capture
- Actively drive improvements to the External Technical Team and wider Technical Team
- Anything commensurate to complete your role
- Previous experience in drywall or building industry
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Trained to Petals, AET or equivalent to deliver training is beneficial
- Facilitation / presentation skills
- IT literate to be able to use digital social media, Microsoft platforms
- Full UK driving license
