OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Stores Operative for our client located in Scunthorpe. This is a full-time contract role working 40 hours per week.
Ideally you will have previous experience working in an engineering store and a working knowledge of stores, inventory management and stocks control systems would be an advantage. You need to have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, have an eye for detail and be well organised. Due to then nature of the role you must be health and safety conscious. Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel and Lotus Notes an advantage and fork lift truck certification.
Working in the role of Stores Person you will provide an effective stores and spares service by:
- Covering Stores Operations 24/7, 8 or 12 hour shifts (to be determined)
- Operating various types of forklift trucks
- Receiving and Unloading deliveries
- Receipting goods in
- Issuing goods out
- Stock checking
- Housekeeping of store,
- Dealing with correspondence
- Delivering materials (e.g. spares, consumables, oils, and greases) around the site
- Ensuring the store operates efficiently.
