We are recruiting 3 x RGN's for our client based at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate. A private primary care facility that focuses on delivering professional medical services to support the care of low dependant sick, injured, and post-operative patients in a primary healthcare setting. This includes the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, occupational healthcare, immunological procedures as well as a wide variety of speciality clinics.

The facility offers a working environment that allows quality patient facing time and a calm steady working pace. Perfect for someone new to Primary Care or someone that is wanting to move away for a busy GP practice or hospital. We have a healthy training budget that allows us to support team and individual professional development at all levels.

The role involves direct patient care, offering primary care clinics to serving military personnel.

We are looking for someone to join the current shift pattern (3 x 12 hours per week. Mixture of day and night shifts - incl weekends, based over a rolling two-week rota). We would consider someone who would just like to work Monday to Friday, as long as they would be willing to carry work 8am till 5pm. In this case we would amend the vacancy to a 40hr contract. Also open to consider part time.

    Aspects of the patient care we offer includes (training can be given in all area):

 •           triage

•           treatment of minor illnesses and injuries

•           obtaining blood samples

•           electrocardiograms(ECGs)

•           minor and complex wound management

•           travel health advice and vaccinations

•           health promotion

•           Occupations vaccinations

•           child immunisations

•           family planning & women’s health including cervical smears

•           health screening

•           sexual health services

•           smoking cessation

•           screening and helping patients to manage long term conditions

  

Qualifications required:

 State approved or recognised Diploma or Degree in Adult Nursing

 Valid registration with NMC

 Experience in a Primary Care environment is an advantage; however, training can be given.

 Competent with Microsoft Office and Clinical IT software
