Piping Designer

We are currently recruiting for a Piping Designer to work for our client based in Immingham. Both contract and permanent position available. 

Hours: 08.00 - 16.30 Monday to Friday 

 

Key Duties:

  • Modelling piping systems and equipment layouts from P&IDs and site sketches
  • Creating Fabrication ISO’s from Plant 3D
  • Develop BOMs at FEED and Procurement stages
  • Produce Equipment Layouts and GA’s
  • Drive model reviews and have an ability to create and keep up to date, the federated model
  • Site Survey’s – ability to locate tie ins and identify existing piping system equipment, line types and identify suitable routes for new lines

 

Skills:

  • Autodesk Plant 3D
  • AutoCAD
  • Autodesk Recap
  • Navisworks Manage
  • Knowledge of ASME B31, specifically B31.3 Process Piping

 

Other advantageous abilities

 

  • Understanding of Caesar II
  • Laser scanning & stitching of point clouds to assist our survey team
  • “Twinmotion” or other rendering and animation packages

 

Qualifications & Certifications

 

  • HNC in mechanical engineering as a minimum
