OLG Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Outage Coordinator to work for a major client based in Cumbria. This is a permanent position working full time hours. Salary negotiable.
The Role:
It is the responsibility of the Mechanical Outage Co-Ordinator to manage delivery of all Mechanical Outage Work is correctly scoped, specified, planned, executed, and commissioned in a safe and efficient manner to meet contractual targets in accordance with site safety, environmental and quality procedures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Delivery of all Planned and Maintenance outages as agreed and as allocated in the Annual Operating Plan.
- Aid in the planning of all site outages as agreed and as allocated in the Annual Operating Plan.
- Attend the weekly Outage work list meeting. Chair in the absence of the Planning Engineer.
- Ensure all personnel adhere to the site Outage Management Procedure.
- Raising and Closing Work Orders as required.
- Organising all stores required for the conduct of Planned Outage Maintenance activities.
- Ensure all Outage Plans are produced and communicated to all relevant personnel in a timely manner for all Planned and Maintenance outages.
- Reduction in the number of Outage Work Orders on the CMMS System, utilising contract personnel where applicable.
- Ensure all required PSSR inspections are completed during outage periods where applicable.
- Supervision of any contractors conducting work on site during outage periods or at their own request.
- Delivery of all outage briefs in accordance with the outage management procedure.
- Aid in the production of the Post Outage Report within time scales detailed in the site Outage Management procedure.
- Quality inspections of any work being conducted on site by both staff and contractors alike.
- Technical Inspections of any new stores arriving on site to be used in outages as and when required.
- Conduct quality checks on submitted Work Packs for outages to ensure that they comply with the requirements laid down in the Company Operating System.
- Complete the site electronic log as required.
- Active member of the Duty Technician Call Out Rota.
Education & Experience:
- HNC in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Successful contributions in a 24/7 industrial environment including:
- Timely planning & recording of maintenance activities using MMSs.
- Identifying, proposing & rectifying EC&I issues in all operational states.
- Completing EC&I tasks in line with own competence.
- Spare ordering & coordination.
- Coordinating manpower & mechanical activities.
- Preparing, communicating & updating documents including procedures, work plans, project and contractor scopes.
- Managing budgets and projects.
- Methods, materials & equipment used in servicing, repairing & Mechanical plant maintenance.
- SHE systems including PTW, risk management and improvements.
- Mechanical legislation & best practice.
- CMMS updating & maintenance.
- Microsoft Office: word, excel
- Completed the required company induction into this role
