OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Logistics Supervisor for our client, a provider of maritime shipping services for their new 4PL Digital Control Tower services.  This is a full-time, permanent position located in Immingham/Killingholme or surrounding areas. This role is anticipated to start in around August 2024.

What would your day-to-day will look like as a Logistics Supervisor:

  • Day to day effective management of the Digital Controller tower team of 2 staff members.
  • Allocate routing tasks to staff to tie in with customer requirements and carrier schedules.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of carriers, supervising performance, driving improvements and building the relationship to ensure that service levels are clear and delivered.
  • Participate in Digital platform systems development.
  • Proactively identifying and implementing strategies to minimise inefficiencies and enhance operational efficiency, capacity, and workflows.
  • Proactively build relationships with a number of carriers across Europe.
  • Proactively build relationships with a number of our customers European factories.
  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.

What does the ideal candidate look like:

  • Strong background in European road logistics along with 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong systems skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Deadline-driven and able to make quick decisions.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable attitude.
  • Willingness to challenge and change processes.
