Fabric Maintenance Manager

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Fabric Maintenance Manager for our client located in Immingham. This is a long term contract position working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week.

This role will involve working closely with existing maintenance and operations teams, while striving to ensure minimum disruption to the core activities and requirements of the team and regular contractor group - which will require the candidate to be resourceful, self-starting and confident in their own ability. The candidate will need to draw on a wealth of experience and contacts from the local area, either from existing suppliers or from personal knowledge, to achieve the end objective.

Job role

  • Assisting existing Maintenance Engineering team to safely and cost-effectively deliver multiple fabric maintenance improvement projects that are approved spend Q2 2024 onwards
  • This is a Fabric Maintenance Manager role with technical decisions supported by the Engineering Manager or engineering consultants as necessary. You will need to be able to balance Safety & Environmental requirements, with operational constraints, whilst driving the timely completion of each project in a coordinated, cost effective and sympathetic manner.
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.
  • Maintains accurate records.
  • The candidate will need to be able to keep satisfactory records of work done in keeping with project management systems, and ensure associated related records are updated as necessary
  • In addition to these functions, the Fabric Maintenance Manager may be required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required in keeping with the core role, and which they are judged to be competent to perform.

Background / Person

  • Painting and Pipework experience.
  • Refinery / Petrochem experience useful.
  • Marine experience not essential, but an advantage
  • Demonstrable experience managing large scale FM campaign.

  • Ideally Professionally qualified + relevant experience but may accept significant levels of relevant experience. 

Skills

  • Computer literate

  • Good time management and work prioritisation skills.
