An opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Technician based at an Immingham Power Station with good potential for progression. You will be responsible for all Electrical maintenance related activities at the station. The post holder is required to plan, contract (including the management of contractors) and/or physically carry out Electrical maintenance works at the site, including the preparation of method statements and Risk Assessments, as required.


RESPONSIBILITIES
The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of tasks within their level of competence. The following will be included:
• Ensure consistent high levels of House-keeping and Safety
• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements particularly the Health & Safety at Work Act and the Environmental Protection Act.
• Deliver service and maintenance Best Practice.
• Provide supervision of designated people during plant overhauls.
• Proactive and creative approach to fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Provide support on a 24/7 basis and ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time, at or below budget, to the correct quality and within the environmental limits of the station.

• Support and deliver the Process Safety KPI’s associated with areas of responsibility.
• Develop understanding of the business and Station objectives.
• Input into developing and managing budgets and costs.
• Participation in delivery of major and interim inspections and overhauls.
• Deliver hands on maintenance activities on Electrical equipment & systems.
• Maintain interfaces with suppliers, contractors and other parties.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, including written reports.
• Ability to handle multiple work projects running together as the business need arises.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The following are essential:
• Experience in the power generation or other large-scale process industry.
• Educated to HNC standard or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Computer literacy skills.
• Working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation.
The following are desirable:
• IOSH Entry Level Qualification to Managing Safely.
• Demonstration of team working skills.
• Knowledge of budgets and contract management
• Knowledge and experience of the principles of working safely and health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Focused on achieving results and keen to develop skills
• Self motivated with a flexible approach.
• Ability to support other disciplines mechanical with work planning and plant diagnostics.
