Domestic Team Leader

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Domestic Team Leader for our client based in Coleford, Health Centre. This is a fixed term contract for 3 months, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (shifts may vary). 

Key duties and responsibilities of the role

  • Through the day to day management of domestic services, ensure the provision of a high quality, cost effective service which reflects customer need and operates as an effective commercial business unit.
  • Ensure a clean environment for patient care in accordance with health & safety requirements, “National Specification of Cleaning Standards”, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) and NHS Property Services policies and procedures.
  • Complete, in good time, any administration activities associated with the role, including but not limited to: timesheets submission and approval onto the company HR information systems; rostering; absence records; annual leave information; stock order forms and NHS Property Services/ward communications.
  • Undertake cleaning audits/surveys as necessary to manage performance and quality, ensure audit action sheets are completed and actioned as required. This involves ensuring Task Action Sheets have been checked, closed-out and signed off to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
  • Ensure staff undertake full legionella flushing of all outlets as described in the Cleaning Manual and that failure to flush an outlet is reported to your line manager for further action. Ensure relevant paperwork is completed and maintained as required by following all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Undertake the rostering of staff and ensure all absences are appropriately covered in line with service delivery needs and performance expectations.
