Contracts Manager

OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Contracts Manager for our client located in North-East Lincolnshire. This is a contract position for approximately 2 years duration, supporting the clients T&I team.

Experienced engineering professional whose profile is likely to include:

  • High-hazard, heavy process industry background. Oil/gas/chemicals or equivalent
  • Extensive maintenance and shutdown management experience
  • Graduate in a mechanical discipline or extensive involvement & understanding of mechanical discipline
  • Financially aware with experience of budget and cost management
  • Extensive experience of drafting, negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts for one-off and multi-year scopes
  • Familiar with fundamentals of contract law and their practical interpretation in contract terms and conditions
  • Familiar with a wide range of contract pricing mechanisms and commercial incentivisation
  • Good knowledge of the UK contracting market and general environment
  • Able to produce or edit existing contract documents to achieve rigorous, logically structured contracts with good attention to detail
  • Able to train and coach less experienced engineers in their roles in the contract development and management process
  • Can establish constructive, collaborative relationships with suppliers and contractors whilst ensuring tight cost control and contract compliance
  • Good communication and influencing skills at all levels in the organisation, establishing the respect of stakeholders
