OLG Recruitment are currently looking for a Class 1 HGV Driver for our client located in Immingham. This is a full time position working 4 on 4 off.
Shifts available: Monday – Friday Days, 4o4o days, nights and tramping.
About the role
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our clients growing team. You’ll be handling general haulage work, collecting ferry trailers from Immingham Docks, delivering to customer sites across the UK, tipping, reloading, and returning to the docks. One of the more unique loads you’ll carry? Giant paper rolls that get turned into cardboard boxes for home deliveries, so you’re helping keep the online shopping world moving!
You’ll be responsible for:
- Timely collections and deliveries across the UK
- Safe transport of goods using curtainsider trailers
- Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Accurate record-keeping of deliveries and driving hours
- Following all road safety and transport regulations
About you
We’re looking for a professional Class 1 driver who’s not just dependable, but takes pride in doing the job right. You’ll know your way around general haulage and curtainsider trailers, and you’re the kind of person who checks the vehicle before the wheels even roll. Safety’s second nature to you, and you’re on top of your CPC, DIGI card, and driving hours. You’ve got great timekeeping, a customer-first attitude, and you’re confident working independently. If you’ve worked with ferry trailers or at the docks before, that’s a big plus! This role is perfect for someone who wants steady, reliable work with a well-organised transport team.
