CE&I Design Engineer

OLG Recruitment are recruiting for a CE&I Design Engineer to work for a client based in West Cumbria. CA24 3JZ. This is a full time contract position for a minimum of 18 months. Hours of work will be 37 hours over 4½ days a week. This role has been determined as inside of IR35.  

 

Location: Working 3 days a week minimum on the plant. When not required on plant, to work 3 days week minimum out of a West Cumbria based design office. To attend Hinton House, Warrington, Cheshire approx. 1 day per month.

 

Basic Purpose:

  • Providing site-based design front line support to the Commissioning teams,
  • Delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes to meet functional and business needs.
  • The implementation, testing and commissioning of the detailed designs/changes is undertaken by other dedicated site-based teams, hence is outside the scope of this role.

 

Essential:

  • Academic Qualification: Minimum - HND
  • Professional Qualification: Minimum - Incorporated Engineer
  • Security Clearance: SC
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer:
  • working on external multidiscipline projects,
  • providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team,
  • delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes,
  • with a working understanding of the following external Standards for:
  • PES based Control Systems
  • Process Instruments
  • Effective problem solving, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines
  • Willingness to support early career Engineers

 

Desirable:

Experience: Minimum 7 years successfully delivering as a CE&I Senior Design Engineer:

  • working on external and/or SL multidiscipline projects,
  • providing site-based front line design support to a Commissioning team,
  • delivering, supporting the delivery of others and checking detailed designs/changes,
  • with a working understanding of the following SL Engineering Standards for:
    • PES based Control Systems
    • Process Instruments
