We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Minor Works Manager to join our team based in the North East & Yorkshire. The salary on offer is from £30,000 - £38,000. The role is offered on a 6 months Fixed Term Contract.

The purpose of this role is to manage and assist with the delivery of small maintenance and minor works projects across the North East & Yorkshire region. They will support projects through all stages of the process, including development of specification, procurement, instruction, scheduling of works, monitoring of progress and validation of satisfactory completion. An awareness of the NHS Net Zero agenda and how sustainable technologies could be applied to support it would be advantageous.

The Assistant Minor Works Manager will report to the Minor Works Manager, and liaise with the Facilities Management, Property Management and Construction Management teams to ensure their needs are understood. They will also liaise with the Finance team to ensure works are funded correctly.

The Assistant Minor Works Manager will ensure operational policies and procedures are adhered to for projects in which they are involved, and will be expected to assist in other initiatives which support the improvement of the NHSPS estate as directed by the Minor Works Manager.

We are looking for someone with an understanding of Mechanical and Electrical systems, as well as building fabric, who is able to continuously adhere to documented processes, ensure documentation is completed correctly at all times, effectively manage both internal and external stakeholders, and assist in the development and management of an ongoing program of multiple projects. Being proactive and organised is vital, alongside the willingness to learn.

Knowledge of how to effectively use NAV, PowerBI, CORE, and the M365 suite would be advantageous.
